Colors that arouse
Using colors that arouse or using subdued colors says a lot about your personality. And they have a tremendous effect on how others perceive and react to you. Colors can arouse or colors can have a calming effect. Here are some of the sub-conscious messages being sent by the colors you choose to wear, drive and paint your home.

- Red: The color of desire, red is said to increase the pulse rate, to raise the blood pressure and the rate of breathing. Red inflames sexual passion and anger. People attracted to red like to be out in front and to get recognition by others. Wear red if you're low on energy or feel cold.
- Yellow: Standing for serenity, yellow is associated with sunshine and sunny dispositions. Under normal conditions, yellow can lift your spirits. People who love yellow like to talk (and sometimes talk too much.)
- Orange: The color of cheerfulness, orange indicates kind-heartedness and warm-heartedness and it makes us alert and cheerful. It is energizing and can affect both our body and mind. People who are attracted to orange are up-beat and love life.
- Green: The color green has a harmonizing effect and calms us. Green increases feelings of security and self-confidence. Green promotes relaxation, harmony and hope and is the color of self-esteem.
- Blue: The color of peace, blue calms and relaxes us. Our bodies and minds are conveyed to a state of peace, repose and softness. People attracted to blue tend to be honest and loyal. Blue is cooling color and has a sedative effect.
- Violet: The color of the emotions, violet can lead to liberation of mind. Lovers of violet are creative, intuitive and imaginative.
- Black: The color black may show a desire to be seen as mysterious, sexy and/or powerful. But too much black may indicate something more serious - such as an obsession with death or a need for emotional support.
- Grey: As a mix of white and black, grey often leaves a negative felling. It is seen as the color of self-denial, self-martyrdom and repression. Grey is also associated with stress and mental fatigue.
- Brown: The color brown is associated with stability. Those attracted to it have a tendency to be uninspired. But they also tend to be practical, confident and free from worry.
